Growing up in a family with a strong agricultural background, Laura’s connection to the agricultural world was established early on, with her maternal grandparents and their children all working in the Salinas Valley for various agricultural businesses. As a young adult, she immersed herself in agricultural life by working in the strawberry production sector, allowing her to understand and appreciate the hard work endured by her grandparents throughout their decades in the fields. Her experience not only deepened her respect for farmworkers, but also forged meaningful connections with farmers, ranchers, and foremen.
Drawing from her production knowledge, Laura then transitioned into sales and marketing where she continued deepening her understanding of the industry's complexities. She thrived in this role over the past 15 years, actively participating in philanthropy and even venturing into entrepreneurship by opening her own photography business and contributing to her family construction business.
While work is significant, family remains her top priority. Engaging in her children's extracurricular activities, such as her daughter's folklorico dance and her son's water polo, brings immense joy and fulfillment to her life. As Laura joins KTA, she eagerly looks forward to sharing her expertise and continually expanding her horizons.
