Justin was born and raised in the Kansas City Metro area, where he spent the majority of his free time playing soccer, volunteering at a local food bank, and adventuring in his local parks and nature areas. Later, after receiving a degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Kansas, he developed a deep interest in people’s relationship with the earth, globalized food systems, soil health, and mycology.
After spending a few years working in the music industry, Justin realized his true passion was creating meaningful climate impact and uplifting underserved communities from social and institutional oppression. Justin believes that his lived experiences, combined with his educational background and passion for environmental justice will allow him to combine his organizational and administrative skills and work honestly towards his values of community, diversity, and environmentalism.
Through Kitchen Table Advisors, Justin is able to activate his passion for social justice and advocate for a better climate through his work supporting small, sustainable farmers and ranchers.
